The OMR was a great opportunity for me to delve even deeper into the world of online marketing and to hear many exciting lectures from well-known people. During the two days, I attended numerous exciting lectures that left a lasting impression, but also some that were less exciting. One person who definitely stuck in my mind was Jeremy Fragrence. At my very first lecture, he shouted the words “Kraft, Power, Strength” and put on an entertaining show.
Anyone who goes to the OMR should look at the program beforehand and think about who they want to hear. There are so many inspiring people that it’s impossible to hear them all – unfortunately. It also requires a lot of patience, because with 70,000 visitors, things sometimes just move more slowly.
Nevertheless, I can recommend the OMR to anyone who is interested in online marketing. You won’t forget the two days so quickly and it is definitely worth a visit.

At the OMR trade fair in Hamburg, I immersed myself in the fascinating world of AI. One sentence that really got me thinking was: “What is intelligent about AI?” This question raises the fact that the programmer of the AI does not have to understand everything it does, otherwise the intelligence would not be intelligent . In fact, intelligence is what you use when you don’t know what to do. Have you ever thought about that? Crazy, right?
At OMR, I had the privilege of participating in numerous speeches and discussions about AI and the future. The topics were heavily influenced by AI, and it was impressive to see how these technologies can change our world.

AI can do a lot, but it can never organize an event like the OMR. This year, the was also a… positive.
No, no joke, last year everything was fascinating for me and this year everything was much more controlled. By “more controlled” I don’t just mean the OMR itself, but also my own timeline. I was also able to take part in a Merkle side event and a Google Masterclass on conversion modeling, which were my highlights of the entire event. A controlled timeline goes a long way towards making an event more enjoyable. I have this to thank for the learnings from last year.

AI, AI, ChatGPT and more artificial intelligence – that was the main focus of this year’s OMR and I loved it. A new era is upon us and every discussion about how we want to deal with AI is extremely relevant.
While I was in “information shock” last year, this year I was much better prepared – and that is exactly what you have to do at a festival like the OMR. I wasn’t accepted for any master classes, but I didn’t think that was a bad thing at all. The speeches on the Red Stage & Conference Stage by Precht, Maschmeyer, Pamela Reif, Scooter Braun, Philipp Westermeyer and many others were so informative and exciting that some people wasted their time on less captivating master classes.
By the way, “wasting time” is also a thing at the OMR. Because there are over 1,000 exhibitors, 7 stages, 240 master classes and over 300 guided tours, you can’t waste your time with the “self-promotion” of brands and influencers. Yes, the OMR can offer us visitors great added value, but we have to find it first.
Before you arrive, you should find out about the lectures on the OMR website and carefully select where you would like to listen. Thanks to the OMR app, I always knew where I had to go for my next lecture. To do this, I filtered the speeches on the Red Stage and Conference Stage, as otherwise you would not have an overview of the numerous lectures.
You might get a little stressed because you have to attend so many speeches, but the breaks are also extremely important. A crêpe with Nutella and banana can definitely refill your energy tank.

The OMR 2023 was all about AI and ChatGPT. The topic of ChatGPT and thus AI only really became a big topic in November 2022 when Open AI came around the corner with ChatGPT. I can well imagine that the OMR had to shake things up a lot and do justice to the current topics in the digital sector. And I must say that they mostly succeeded well.

This way I can adapt my clothing to the conditions during the day and I have my notebook with me so that I am always available for our customers.
